Kindergarten students have been busy at work using their 5 Senses to study Earth’s surfaces. Thus far they have looked at water, rocks, sand and dirt inside the classroom. They have loved feeling them with their hands, listening to see if they make any sound and looking through magnifying glasses to get a closer look of what each is made of. When it came to sound students discovered that the surfaces needed force to be heard. It was interesting to watch the various ways this discovery came about! The student’s will get to go outside this week and observe Earth’s materials in its most natural environment using their Five Senses. They are looking forward to this activity and using what they have learned so far!

This is the song the students love to listen to before we start our lesson for the day!
