Centralia High School Prepares for 2019 Homecoming

Centralia High School’s 2019 Homecoming game will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers will take on the Mexico Bulldogs that evening. This year’s theme is “The Greatest Showman.”  

The parade marshalls this year are Jerry and Connie Cox. The parade will start at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019. All parade entries should be lined up in their starting positions by 12:30 p.m. Student-built floats should be in their designated spots by 8:30 a.m. in order to finish building. Students will be released to their respective floats about 11:00 a.m. 

This year’s princess candidates are Mea Auck (Fr), Taylor Carrico (So) and Maggie Maenner (Ju). Prince candidates are Brandon Lynch (Fr), Mason Barr (So) and Roston Palmer(Ju). Queen candidates are Laken Aulber, Mary Kate Bennet, Olivia Hombs, Caroline Million and Mallory Smith. King Candidates are Jayden Bennet, Trey Brown, AJ Hombs, Hunter King and Grafton Littrell.

The Queen Coronation will take place at halftime at the football game. If there is poor weather present, the Queen Coronation will be moved to the dance at 11:00 p.m. alongside the King Coronation. The Homecoming dance will be held after the game. The King will be crowned at 11:00 p.m. Bob Dodds, Inc. will be providing DJ services. The admission cost dance is $3 for singles and $5 for a couple.

CHS will be having dress-up days each day of Homecoming week. This year’s dress-up days are Clown Day–Tuesday; Wild Wednesday (Animal Prints); Throwback Thursday (dress retro); and Panther Wear on Friday.

Other Homecoming activities

Community Spirit Window Competition- Judging on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 2nd and 3rd 

Flashlight Parade/Bonfire–Wednesday night, Oct. 2nd at 8:15 p.m. or when it gets dark.
