Emma Edwards is Centralia High School’s October Student of the Month. Edwards is a senior at Centralia High School, and she is the daughter of Shawn and Richard Edwards.

Edwards works at Angell’s Western Wear here in Centralia. Her favorite high school class is Art because she gets to be creative. Edwards has advice to give to other students about being a hard worker: “Leave good impressions on people you meet throughout your life and do more than what is asked. You won’t be punished for putting in more effort,” she said.

Mrs. Danielle Bennett, CHS librarian, nominated Edwards for Student of the Month. Edwards is Bennett’s library cadet this year. “She has gone above and beyond in her library work. She is organized and a self-starter. She has earned my respect as a cadet. She is a good listener and follows through with my daily instructions,” said Bennett.

Edwards has been accepted to Linn State Tech for their Business Administration program, which she will start in August. She is graduating early this year and plans to work full-time to save up money for expenses. One day, she wants to manage a business.
