We have had so much fun this week with the theme of “The Gingerbread Man!” We learned a poem about Gingerbread, read many different versions of the story, including The Gingerbread Man, The Gingerbread Girl, The Gingerbread Cowboy, and The Gingerbread Girl Goes Animal Crackers to name a few. We used these stories to compare the characters, the setting, and whether or not the gingerbread was eaten or not. We also received a special letter from the Gingerbread Man that took us on a hunt through the school, we had to solve riddles through the building, and found our way back to our classroom where a special gingerbread snack was hidden! Then on Friday, we concluded this unit by making our very own gingerbread houses! Thank you to all the parents who sent in supplies to make this activity so fun and memorable.
