This summer Tanner Brandow, CHS Class of 2020, signed with the golf team at Columbia College.
Brandow is the son of Chris and Jennifer Brandow and grandson of Dennis and Joyce Prater and Kenny and Nancy Brandow.
He gave his commitment earlier this year to play golf at Columbia College. Brandow was scheduled to do his official signing in April at school; however, due to Covid-19, he had to wait until August.
Brandow considered three other colleges before making his final decision. “I chose Columbia College because of its outstanding academic reputation, small class sizes and the new business school. The golf coaches are very knowledgeable, and I wanted to be a part of a winning team,” Brandow said.
Brandow’s college focus this year is to finish up some general education courses and take some business classes. He would eventually like to obtain a business administration degree. He also hopes to “be a reliable golfer for the golf team and win a team national title.”
During high school, Brandow earned numerous accolades:
2019 Conference Individual Champion
2019 District Individual Champion
2019 Conference and District Team Champions
Two Time All-District
Four-Time Lowest Point Average
Two-Time First-Team All-Conference
Two-Time State Qualifier
Academic All-Conference
