The Missouri FFA Association honored fellow members for outstanding achievements from April 30 to May 1 at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri. Due to COVID-19-related health concerns, the convention was live-streamed.

Missouri FFA Executive Secretary Keith Dietzschold said, “Last year and this year, in order to be safe and responsible, convention format adjustments had to be made. Last year’s officer team missed out on the traditional convention experience.”

CHS FFA members excelled at the state level this year. The following Centralia FFA members were awarded these honors:

Second place–Ag Issues- Zach Schnarre, Jesse Shannon, Bethany Rhoades, Lauren Lafferty, Rachel Haskell, Claire Bennett and Annamarie Stone

Second place–Employment Skills – Schyler Angell

Third place–Horse Evaluation- Jenna Hasekamp, Maelea Parrish, Christina Gronefeld and Ella Holiman

First place–Ag Communications Proficiency-Schyler Angell

Mr. Scott Stone, FFA adviser, is beyond proud of his team. “Our students did an amazing job this entire year. They rolled with all the punches that COVID threw at them, and they proceeded with pride, dignity and strength,” Stone said.
