Crosby Becomes Full-Time Panther

By: Annika Kirtley, Contributing Writer

Mrs. Kathleen Crosby is a new third grade teacher for Centralia Intermediate School (CIS). Crosby previously worked at Renick as a kindergarten, second grade, and PreK-eight grade art teacher. She also taught at Clarksburg teaching second grade and kindergarten.

Crosby graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She also has her Master of Education degree from University of Missouri.

The third grade position at CIS was appealing to Crosby because she lives in the district and both her children attend school here.  She is also excited to be a part of all the events that Centralia School District has to offer. Crosby finds enjoyment in getting to know her new co-workers and wonderful students.

Crosby and her husband, Kevin, have two daughters who are 10 and 13. When asked what she enjoys doing in her free time, Crosby said, “I enjoy gardening, drawing and painting. I also enjoy (and get to do a lot) watching my kids participate in their activities.”
