Emily Lee, CHS senior, is the daughter of Todd and Laura Lee. Lee is interested in pursuing the career of a tattoo artist and selling art prints. Lee is very involved in art at CHS. In a few words, Lee would describe her style of art as “illustrative, realistic and unpredictable.” She gained inspiration from horror movies to draw detailed characters.
Lee plans to graduate in December. She hopes to get an early start on her future and believes this is a good beginning. Lee explained that she has accomplished her goals of trying new things and getting more practice with other art styles. Lee has been acknowledged by other artists like tattoo artists, etsy creators and fellow instagram artists. She plans on continuing to work at her current job for another year or two then sending her apprenticeship portfolio to a few tattoo shops around Mid-Missouri.
Tattoo artists have always been a huge inspiration to Lee. She said, “I have many inspirations, but I can’t pick a specific person.” Being around her friends is Lee’s favorite part of high school.
