Chs la IV spooky halloween stories
The outlines were to write either an essay, poem, or short story. If you did an essay or a short story, you had a 500 word requirement.
"I did the stories because I want my students to practice different types of writing: writing that isn't just essay writing or academic writing but also fun and creative writing. Scary stories are not only interesting to read, but also interesting to write. I thought it would be fun to read and write scary stories together as a class. I wanted to do a competition to give the students an incentive and to recognize their efforts." -- Anita Lumley, Centralia Language Arts teacher.

If you were on a deserted island, which of your friends would you want to be serted with and Why?
Knox Lawrence
(Freshman) "If I were to be put on a deserted island and could be with one friend, I would want to be deserted with Trenton Brooks because he is trustworthy and someone that I can rely on. We've both also spent a large portion of our lives around the wilderness so I feel that we would have a large likelihood of thriving on the island". |
James White
(Sophomore) "I would pick Klyn M. we might die but we would die having fun". |
Bailee Farrens
(Junior) "Most likely Harrison White because he is pretty smart and us together we would come up with ideas to survive". |
Hank Barnes
(Senior) "I would want to be deserted with my girlfriend and my besets friend, Julia Baxter. I think we would get along and she is always healthy and has better eyesight so she would help a lot". |
Mr.Landcaster
(Teacher) "My wife. She's resourceful and more ferocious than any animals or people we'd come across that would want to harm us". |
