Welcome to the Early Childhood department within the Centralia R-VI school district! Located within Chance Elementary, this department encompasses Preschool, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), and our Parents as Teachers program. We are a staff committed to delivering a robust and meaningful experience for our families and young children within our school district. We understand the importance of early intervention through the support and partnership with our families to maximize the learning potential of our youngest Panthers.
Our Preschool program consists of a half-day program, both in the morning and afternoon, where the Early Literacy and Language Curriculum (ELLC) is utilized. This curriculum is based on the understanding that children learn best through meaningful experiences in their physical and social environment. As we work to join with our families in learning, inspiring and influencing the future, we continually work to develop the best environment for our students.
